 absolutely! Just point the output line in the snort.conf file to the IP
address instead of localhost. Make sure you have the appropriate port, UID,
Password assigned to the entry remote system. Make sure that the remote
systems DB engine is running and then you off to the races.
EXAMPLE:
output database: log, mysql, user=snort
dbname=User_name_for_remote_db_access host=10.x.x.x
password=password_of_remote_User port=xxxx
