Hi Jeremy The reason why you are not seeing any MySQL output is in the logfile. When ever you are using commandline switches to define the logging, all configuration in snort.conf is overridden.
Starting Snort with: /usr/local/bin/snort -A fast -l /usr/local/var/log/snort-ext -c /usr/local/share/snort/snort.conf -i xl0 -D
Look here:
