Hi Jeremy

The reason why you are not seeing any MySQL output is in the logfile.
When ever you are using commandline switches to define the logging, all
configuration in snort.conf is overridden.

Starting Snort with:

/usr/local/bin/snort -A fast -l /usr/local/var/log/snort-ext -c
/usr/local/share/snort/snort.conf -i xl0 -D
Look here:
Apr 28 14:08:11 sb_fw snort: command line overrides rules file alert plugin!

Cheers,

Ralf
