got newest snort2.0.2.rpm ans snort-mysql.rpm installed but when i test with
The snort-mysql-2.0.2-5.i386.rpm fails to properly symlink snort to snort-mysql. If you cd to /usr/sbin you should see two actual binaries for snort: snort-plain (no DB support) and snort-mysql (snort w/ mysql support) along with a symlink snort. Delete the snort symlink and relink it to the snort-mysql binary (ln -s /usr/sbin/snort-mysql snort) and you should be good to go.
snort -T -i eth1 -c /etc/snort/snort.conf database: 'mysql' support is not compiled in this build and even when i compile it --with-mysql same error
