Preparing to know when the switchover happens automatically is a good
thing.

Performing the switchover automatically is a bad thing..  It's not
unheard of for a new rule to trigger so many times in your environment
and have all output systems flood over everything.

Rather than rehashing the entire argument though, this is a great one
to look at the archives FIRST and then see if there's something new to
add.
