snort doesn't write to mysql

Thank you, J. I did, in fact, read the FAQs before posting to this list, but still didn't catch it. I think it would help if 6.15 included more detail on the -A and -s options. It seems somewhat counterintuitive that an option that dicates how an output file is written to would override an output setting for a database. I did think of the possibility that something in the command line was interfering, and looked at the man pages, and might have eventually tried removing that option. I'm sure I read 6.15, but somehow didn't put it all together. Oh, well - thank you everyone for rescuing me.
