ACID 2.0?

Hi Everyone,
        Does anyone know what progress Roman Danyliw is making on the 'ACID 2.0' project he mentioned in response to my 
query in January as to whether ACID was still being worked on? This seems like something everyone is likely to be 
interested in, but he appears to be either not receiving, or not responding to unsolicited direct email on the subject. 
I'm not asking for a release date at this point, but knowing approximately what quarter would be useful for planning 
purposes. I saw a couple of people post, volunteering to be alpha/beta sites. Did anybody get taken up on that?
