Problem with compiling/installing snort 2.1.1 on RH 9.0

I tried to install to actual snort version on RH 9.0, but got error's when 
starting the service (please see the full configure, compiling log at the 
attachment).

[root@snort snort-2.1.1]# /etc/rc.d/init.d/snort start
Starting Intrusion Database System: SNORT
/usr/local/bin/snort: relocation error: /usr/lib/libmysqlclient.so.10: 
symbol errno, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libc.so.6
with link time reference
