Redhat 9.0 [NTFS enabled]
Snort 2.1.0
MYSQL 4.0.17 downloaded binary off of mysql.com
I ran through the test that are recomended by mysql in the manuel.

The error seems to be with mysqlclient.a (my_compress.o)
