Greetings, I am hoping someone may be able to help me. I've compiled 1.x versions of Snort multiple times without a problem, but this is my first attempt with a 2.x. Specifically, I tried 2.1.3RC1 and 2.1.2. Both times compile failed with the same message: "Undefined symbol IXDR_GET_LONG first referenced in file detection-plugins/lbspd.a(sp_rpc_check.o)" Here is what it was trying to compile when it failed: gcc -g -O2 -Wall -DUSE_SF_STATS -L/usr/local/lib -o snort codes.o debug.o decode.o log.o mstring.o parser.o plugbase.o snort.o snprintf.o strlcatu.o strlcpyu.o tag.o ubi_BinTree.o ubi_SplayTree.o util.o detect.o signature.o mempool.o sf_sdlist.o fpcreate.o fpdetect.o pcrm.o byte_extract.o sfthreshold.o packet_time.o event_wrapper.o output-plugins/libspo.a detection-plugins/libspd.a preprocessors/libspp.a preprocessors/flow/portscan/libportscan.a preprocessors/flow/libflow.a parser/libparser.a preprocessors/HttpInspect/libhttp_inspect.a sfutil/libsfutil.a -lpcre -lpcap -lm -lsocket -lnsl Any ideas?
