Snort PID file

Started snort from the command line:

# snort -c /etc/snort.conf

# pidof snort
22735

# find / -name snort\*.pid -print
/var/run/snort/snort_eth0.pid

# cat /var/run/snort/snort_eth0.pid
15430

Could anybody explain to me the above (if it is not obvious yet - I am
trying to figure out the path to the PID file for snort, for webmin
module configuration)? Of course, because of the above difference, the
snort webmin module reports snort as not running ... :(
