Nevermind previous question..
 
Is there a "Port" parameter in Barnyard as there is in the output module
of mysql?  Barnyard is trying to connect to the sql db through
/tmp/mysql.sock.  Mysql doesn't exist on this machine.

When I start barnyard I get the unknown output plugin "alert_acid_db"
This isn't referenced in the USAGE file...
