Actually, we are piping Snort alerts into a secure IRC channel (#alerts ;) But we do that offline, not as an output-plugin (although that thought had crossed my mind ;) Just a hint: qmail is a great messaging platform. I'm sure you can hack up a script that filters and pipes messages via dot-command to smbclient. Have a great weekend, Frank
