FAIL to rpm -ivh php-mysql-4.2.3-10.i386.rpm"

Hi,
When I go through page 19 of
"http://www.snort.org/docs/
Snort Installation Manual - Snort, MySQL, Redhat 7.3",
and requires the installation of PHP and supporting
Mysql module by "rpm -ivh
php-mysql-4.2.3-10.i386.rpm",there are error
message....
warning: php-mysql-4.2.3-10.i386.rpm: V3 DSA

error: Failed dependencies:
        php-common = 4.2.3 is needed by
php-mysql-4.2.3-10
        libmysqlclient.so.10 is needed by
php-mysql-4.2.3-10
        mysql-libs is needed by php-mysql-4.2.3-10

(ps. there has been a libmysqlclient.so.14 in my
/usr/lib/ and I use Redhat 9)

so, I got "MySQL-shared-3.23.54-1.i386.rpm" for
libmysqlclient.so.10 and got
"mysql-libs-3.23.58-1.i386.rpm" for mysql-libs, but
still can't rpm those packages as below, someone can
help me?

[root@Neil snort_mysql]# rpm -ivh
MySQL-shared-3.23.54-1.i386.rpm

        file /usr/bin/mysqlbug from install of
mysql-libs-3.23.58-1 conflicts with file from package
MySQL-server-4.1.7-0

Even I use "rpm -e MySQL-shared-4.1.7-0" to remove
libmysqlclient.so.14 first and I do again, I still
FAIL to "rpm -ivh php-mysql-4.2.3-10.i386.rpm".....

Pls help me......

Who can tell me all the version of all packages in the
whole installation process?

My environment is ............
 -snort-2.2.0
 -MySQL-client-4.1.7-0.i386.rpm
 -MySQL-shared-3.23.54-1.i386.rpm
 -MySQL-devel-4.1.7-0.i386.rpm
 -MySQL-shared-4.1.7-0.i386.rpm
 -MySQL-server-4.1.7-0.i386.rpm
 -php-4.2.2-17.2.i386.rpm
 -php-mysql-4.2.2-17.2.i386.rpm
 -Redhat 9
