Move all your alerts that you want to save to the archive database. Now take
and drop your snort database and create a new one. If you want a interface
to do this try out "phpadmin".

Kindest regards,
Michael...

Why not delete and create a new one? Or create a new one with a different
name (if you want the history) and adjust snort.conf and acid accordingly.

Subject: [Snort-users] SQL command to clear out the snort database

The database on my snort server is huge, I'm looking for an SQL command
to clear it out, rather than using the webpage ACID front end.

Any thoughts?

Pat
