New Snort User: Snort.conf file location

Hello,

I would like to install snort-2.3.0RC2 in Redhat 9.0. I downloaded the
tar.gz file and did the following: configure, make install.

Libcap-1.10-15 is installed in the machine.

The problem:

When I looked for the snort.conf file to understand the defaults, it
is not seen in /etc dir.

Please advise.
