First check whether mysql is installed in your machine. U can do it as; rpm -q mysql It should return something like, [root@SYS-CO1 root]# rpm -q mysql mysql-3.23.58-9 If mysql is not installed, then download MySQL rpm from following link, http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/4.1.html Then, follow the steps as per http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/4.1.html Note: Installing MySQL from rpm is a child's play. -- Senthil Prabu.S ----- Original Message ----- From: Mukesh To: snort-users () lists sourceforge net Sent: Friday, May 27, 2005 1:04 PM Subject: [Snort-users] Query about mysql Hello Users, Please tell me how to install mysql on redhat linux 9.
