Solution for snort user on openSUSE 11.0 snortd init script problmes running snort ad daemon using rcsnortd commands

Hi al

some snort user on openSUSE 11.0 had daemon problemes when installing
from repository-rpm
the cause was incompatibility of the init script snortd

solutions can be found at:

shows/explains the solution and also links to an openSUSE compatible
snortd script

googling around for long time on that subject also showed that other
Linux users had same or similar problems
