I run the emerging threats ruleset. Highly recommend trying it out. Hop on the mailing list at http://lists.emergingthreats.net/mailman/listinfo/emerging-sigs to keep in touch. Lots of updates, usually 5-10 signatures a day. Very specialized though, you MUST look through the rules before you turn them on. Look forward to seeing you on the ET side! Matt Jason Wallace wrote:
Bleeding Snort = Emerging Threats (new name) OSSRC = good idea that never got of the ground. I have oinkmaster pulling the rules from Sourcefire. After some searches, I found references to OSSRC, Bleeding Snort and Emerging Threats. OSSRC (ossrc.snort.org) seems down. Bleeding Snort (www.bleedingsnort.com) doesn't seem to be a real site. Emerging Threats (www.emergingthreats.net) is the only one that I've found that has rules available. Are there other sites that provide alternative rule sets?
