Yup - me too.
 
Looks like they have not updated that page for a while..
 
Either way I don't believe a pre 2.8.6.1 rule set is available for
download
 
Again - I think a Snort upgrade to 2.8.6.1 or 2.9 is in order..
 
I'm sure someone from the VRT will be along shortly to explain it better
than I can..

                I think VRT only supports snort 2.8.6.1 and 2.9 - you
will probably have to upgrade...
