Snort as a Service on Ubuntu 9

What is the script to run Snort as a service...
I installed snort like the following:

./configure
./make
./make install

I dont install snort using apt -get.
So in some forums I found there's a different script for those 
installations.
But I want my own script.

Some ideas, or any base script I can Use.
