Well, that news is just fine by me. I feel confident sourcefire/snort will
not loose this ongoing battle.

But now i'm in a waiting state :D

You are correct, currently there is no record of the initial release
date or revision history. However, this is part of the improvements we
are planning to make over the coming months. We have some additional
backend work to complete and part of that work is having the ability to
share that information to everyone.

I hate to keep saying it, but, stay tuned :D
