installing

hi,
I am following winsnort guide for installing snort,I have created temp
folder in C: drive instead in D: and I typed the command

C:\temp \vcredist_x86.exe/q/norestat

then I got error of unknown path

then I typed step by step like

C:\temp
then

C:\temp\vcredist_x86.exe

till this it worked correctly

again from next command like I typed

C:\temp\vcredist_x86.exe/q then I am getting error like

Directory name is invalid error

Could u plz suggest step to be taken.
