snort inline

I see this message on the Snort-inline homepage- "We have abandoned this
project as Victor and I are currently spending all of our time working on
Suricata a new open source IDS/IPS".
What does this practically imply to my usage of Snort? Is Snort being
maintained as an inlne product anymore or not? Can i still safely use Snort
in inline mode via command prompt?

Thanks
pnp
