Snort 2.9.6 Configuration

I am trying to configure snort in IDS mode.  I downloaded rules and pasted
in the respective folders and created path in snort.config file. when i run
it i found following error. where did I go wrong help me with this.



ERROR: snort.conf(337) Unknown preprocessor: "ftp_telnet".
Fatal Error, Quitting..
