Proxy server settings for pulledpork

I am trying to update my rule-set using PP.  I've followed the steps
mentioned in snort home page by Joel Esler. However I am getting error 500
when I run PP. I am using proxy server to connect to Internet. Is there any
addition proxy server related settings I need to make in pp configuration
file before running PP successfully?
