I would highly test that first. From the release notes (http://wiki.centos.org/Manuals/ReleaseNotes/CentOS7):"...XFS as 
a default file system..."
How would that affect your installation as well as IO operations on Snort?
Also check the Known Issues, specifically the part  relating to ifconfig and netstat.
