cd /usr/local/src/snort-2.9.6.2
which snort
ls -l <file and path from above>
note the date/time stamp
make distclean
./configure  --enable-non-ether-decoders  --enable-sourcefire"
make
sudo make install
ls -l <previous file and path from above>
date/time stamp should be different yes?
