Integration of Artificial Intelligence in Snort IDS

Hello everyone,
I am a newbie to snort and wish to integrate artificial neural networks in
snort.
But I have no idea where to start, I have gone through snort documentation
but could not find anything relevant to it.
So can anyone tell me from where I should start or point me to any on-line
resources you may know of.
Your time and help is greatly appreciated.
