convert snort rules variables to their values

A lot of variables are defined in snort.conf and used in snort rules. Is
there a convenient way or existing function to convert the variable names
in snort rules to their corresponding values? I would like to use the snort
rules in other place, which requires a cleartext instead of encodings.
