Yes, I saw those. The guy doing the FreeBSD work appears to be claiming that he dropped fewer packets with his mapped access, but that might just be a result of not time-stamping packets (WinPcap, as I remember offers different time-stamping options, so you can choose accurate or cheap), or something else making it an apples-to-oranges comparison. - This is the tcpdump-workers list.
