Acculy a better nic card for linux would probly be the 3com 905c PCI
10/100 card its a lot better of a nic card but unfornatly it will go into
primisc mode. The 3com 3c509 is a isa 10 baset card. Who wants one of
thoese anymore anyway :)

I haven't come across a card yet that won't go into primisc mode (NICs tend
to be slutty like that ya know) but if you want a good NIC for linux, get a
3Com 3c509 they are compatable and last forever.
