Make sure you have all your sun patches installed.  There was a problem
with nmap (after a scan) crashing the system after you sent a HUP signal
to inetd.  I think it was called the recursive mutex bug.  This was for
Solaris 2.6. Maybe 2.7 not sure.

like I said I tried on solaris and it didn't work ....
