Ryan,

Thank you for your response.

Could you please outline how these commands can be used?

I am familiar with certutil and pk12util, but not openssl command syntax. We tried importing the exported cert in the pk12 file (with Server-Cert nickname) to new nickname, but it looks like pk12util import uses the one in *.p12 file and ignores the command line option.

certutil's -M option allows to change the trust attributes of the certificate which is specified with
-n 'nickname' attribute, there is no option to modify nickname itself.

Thank you,
Aboli

This can be accomplished with a combination of openssl, pk12util and certutil.

Hello,

Is there a command line utility which allows to change the Nickname (default is 'Server-Cert' on Sun ONE WebServer 6.0) of the SSL Certificate in the certificate database?

Thanks,
Aboli
