Teros acquired by Citrix

Citrix, the market leader in excessively complex application
delivery most easily replaced by SSL VPN appliances, has
made a bold step forward in increasing the complexity of
applications delivered via the web:

Citrix has acquired Teros (in addition to Netscalar).

Citrix has a special reputation for several of us that have
attempted to work with them in the security community.

Perusing Bugtraq archives and Citrix support forums (what
hasn't been deleted) reveals an amusing history:

Response to security issues varied from (a) default deny
all (security () citrix com), (b) attempt to sell you a support
contract before discussion of issue, and (c) telling you
to "just post it in the support forums and someone in the
community can probably tell you how to fix it". LOL.

A well-known joke amongst econ professionals is that one
key indicator of a market bubble is when entities that
don't understand or can't spell the name of that market
start proselytizing the future of it and throwing money
into it. (they use a different word for 'entities')

This email, of course, was respectfully intented to be
taken lightly. As always,
