Wireshark will not save capture files with the pcap extension

["STUCKEY, MICHAEL LEE [AG/1000]" <michael.lee.stuckey () monsanto com>]

When I do multiple file - ring buffer, none of my files get saved with
an extension "the  .pcap extension".  Does anyone know how to fix that?
