You need to avoid opening Wireshark with root privileges, as I said in my reply.  You need to arrange that the much 
smaller program "dumpcap" has sufficient privileges, which, on many OSes - including, I think, most modern versions of 
most Linux distributions - does *NOT* mean root privileges.
