Note also that the libraries on the buildbots - and on any *other* machine building binary packages to be installed on 
OS releases other than just the one the build machine is running - have to be built against the SDK for the oldest 
release to be supported; if that's not the case for the Homebrew packages, that won't work on the buildbots.
