As part of fixing some problems in the 802.11ad dissector that I am

Presumably you have 802.11ad captures of some sort.

Yes.

If they have radiotap headers, do they have either an MCS field:

        http://www.radiotap.org/defined-fields/MCS

Yes.

which indicates 802.11n or a VHT field:

        http://www.radiotap.org/defined-fields/VHT

which indicates 802.11ac? Is there any information in either of those fields that would be useful radio information
for 802.11ad?

The MCS field only contains the MCS index, but it is 0.

However, the 802.11 radio information header claims that the PHY type
is 802.11n, which is probably because the Radiotap dissector did not
set it correctly.

Hmmm, looking at this again, I wonder if it should not contain an MCS
field, because the radiotap dissector thinks that mean
PHDR_802_11_PHY_11N.

I need to ask some questions.
