Hi Peter,

I had installed version 2.2.5. when select one of the interface listed. It prompt for username and password.
User login but no data is showing.

Why it prompt for username and password? How to remove the prompting for login?

Have you tried the latest stable (Wireshark 2.2.5) as suggested by Stig?
If that is not an option, please check:

 - whether you have installed any custom plugins
 - whether renaming/removing the previous configuration directory helps
   (%APPDATA%\Wireshark on Windows, see
   https://www.wireshark.org/docs/wsug_html_chunked/ChAppFilesConfigurationSection.html
   for more other operating systems.)

We have two user who are having issue while launching Wireshark.
It gets stuck on Loading configuration files. We have already reinstalled the software.
