Sometimes we get "why can't I see my {LAN,Ethernet,Wi-Fi}?" questions on ask.wireshark.com. Would an menu item and command-line option to get "diagnostic information", which would include: version information; a list of the interfaces found; and possibly other information, such as the results of "ls -l /dev/bpf*" on systems using BPF, the results of an "ls -l" on dumpcap, etc.. That information would either be written to a file or copied to the window system's clipboard, to minimize the number of steps a user needs to take when filing a bug or answering a request for information in a question. ___________________________________________________________________________ Sent via: Wireshark-dev mailing list <wireshark-dev () wireshark org> Archives: https://www.wireshark.org/lists/wireshark-dev Unsubscribe: https://www.wireshark.org/mailman/options/wireshark-dev mailto:wireshark-dev-request () wireshark org?subject=unsubscribe
