Does secedit.exe need admin powers? if yes, then you can't (very easily) run
it with a logon script.

Jimmy,

Use "secedit.exe". You will need to place the template file on a network
share, then call "secedit /configure...." from the login scripts and
direct it to the template you placed on the share. I don't remember the
exact switches to use for the file import, but it's pretty
straightforward.

Hope this helps,
Stephen

Subject: Windows Security Templates

I am trying to figure out a way of applying windows 2k and XP security
templates without
having to visit each machine and use the Security Configuration and
Analysis
mmc. The
other problem is we are using an NT domain (No Active Directory) so we
can't
use Group
Policy to apply them.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
-Jimmy
