Take a look at the Hacker's Challenge books. They are a little old. I think the first one came out in '01, and the more recent Hacker's Challenge 2 was published Dec of '02. They are a very interesting read, and present some real world events, and then asks the reader to provide the solutions. They can then check their results against the those provided by the book. Good enough to scare management, teach a thing or two to entry level network engineers, and those who pay little attention to security. You can find them at Amazon. -----Original Message----- From: Zachary Mutrux [mailto:zmutrux () compumentor org] Sent: Friday, October 17, 2003 8:02 PM To: Security-Basics Subject: scary but true Does anyone know of a good source (book, website) of true case studies of security incidents? I'd like to have some stories to relate to complacent coworkers, clients, etc. zm -- Zac Mutrux Technology Consultant CompuMentor 415-633-9437 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- FREE Whitepaper: Better Management for Network Security Looking for a better way to manage your IP security?
