Peter, Unfortunately I don't have an answer at this time. I have looked a few places and have turned up nada. Net time doesn't adjust time zone settings from the domain controller. It should. First I exported the TimeZoneInformation registry key. Next, I unchecked the Day Light Savings time and verified the changes on the clock (set back one hour). Then deleted all the entries from the TimeZoneInformation registry key. The original good configuration was then imported back into the registry and client rebooted. Still no update to the system clock! This is peculiar. Anyone have an answer? P.S. I have only been testing this on an XP client. In my test env. I used this DisableAutoDaylightTimeSet to make the check box checked for automatically ajust clock for daylight saving changes. But, the time is not changed until you click "OK" to take effect even the check box is checked. Do you know how to automate this without clicking "OK"? Thanks again, Peter --- Kirk Schafer <infosec-capital () rainswept com> wrote:
I believe the key mentioned by Arthur DiSegna is correct (see http://is-it-true.org/nt/registry/rtips46.shtml). Furthermore, you can define your own group policy...I was looking around at Microsoft, and found this: How to create Custom Administrative Templates in Windows 2000
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;323639
and it looks like this gives you as much information as you need. Finally, this article isn't the exact answer to your question, but it may also help: How to Implement a Policy to set the Date format http://support.microsoft.com/kb/216661/EN-US/ Best, Kirk Peter Rodger wrote:Hi, all Due to security concern, we enforce that users can not change system time. But somehow lots of users do not check the daylight savings box. Is there a way that we can check daylight savings box through group policy or script?
