Try PGP (www.pgp.com). With two different keys (admin key and user key) you can manage the encrypted data in a way that you would like to. For more info see www.pgp.com/downloads/datasheets/index.html Regards, Peter -----Original Message----- From: listbounce () securityfocus com [mailto:listbounce () securityfocus com] On Behalf Of Saqib Ali Sent: Tuesday, November 28, 2006 5:17 PM To: security-basics Subject: auto-encrypt all external storage devices I have a client who wants to auto-encrypt all external storage devices as soon as they are plugged into the computer. Essentially they want the external device to be bound to a single computer. But they also want the ability to recover data from the external storage media if the computer goes bad. Any suggestions??? saqib http://www.full-disk-encryption.net
