The two reasons I see it as a bad ideas because are: 1.) you are more
likely to be subject to DNSBL blocking (risk:loss of information), and
2.) it looks unprofessional (risk:corporate identity).

Confidentiality is subjective to the policies of the provider and are
not necessarily the same across them all.  Most anything discussed
here would be speculation in one form or another, except that by
signing up fora free web mail provider you are very typically entering
an agreement that can be modified by the provider at their discretion
without your notification, acknowledgement or agreement.

The potential information security risks run the full spectrum of
possibilities under such circumstance.

This is particularly the case when users are out of office

These webmails are not under the company's control, and hence there is a risk of information loss. However upto now we 
have not heard of any such cases

Wanted to get the opinion of the list on the security risks of the use of Webmails for business mails
