I would agree and would suggest a similar setup but would also add: 

Mimecast or iCritical - this cuts down traffic as all mail is scanned for spam & viruses before it reaches the network. 

MailMarshal - for granularity and checking of file types.  You can create users and user groups so some people receive 
all, others receive very little.  There is an option so users can release their own emails as well.

I have in the past used a 3 tier approach to Virus protection and it 
saved my bacon more that once. It can become a bit pricey but 
managment felt the same way I did at the time. I used one package for 
my Exchange environment (Trend Micro), another for the servers 
(Symantec/Norton) and a third for the Workstations (McAfee). Now 
there was some real effort in determining what to put where, and we 
evaluated all 3 products in all three locations and this is where they 
worked best for the users and Systems staff. This was also back inthe 
1990s and a lot of new technologies have emerged since then and more 
vendors to select from. 

I would be very careful about putting all of your eggs in one basket.
