Some may have different opinions, while in DoD we used BCwipe, depending
on your application external connections for IDE or sata drives could
work, there's also tools that come with new drives that are capable but
as far as the IA compliance I've never checked. BTW, BlacX makes an
interesting docking station for Sata drives.

I'm looking for a hard drive erasing solution (hardware) that meets the
DOD recommendation for erasing but is also fairly easy for the helpdesk
to just hook a drive up to, press a button and walk away until it is
complete. Does anyone have any recommendations for one that is good and
