I thought his/her comment was incredibly rude.  It is disheartening
when you are trying your hardest to break into the field and someone
pops off some smart comment like that.  I know --- I just finished my
Master's Degree in Network Security and everyone is doing their best
to discourage me from furthering my education (I want to do more Pen
Testing and/or Forensics).  It is like
