I think it is too early to call for a moderated list. Bugtraq has been very useful in its current format, and I hesitate to change it. Moderation would add latency to message delivery that could spoil some of the quick-turnaround fixes I have seen. For instance, John Hawkinson's comments on the Sendmail hole - if the moderator were on vacation or swamped by work we would not have had that valuable feedback as quickly. If you are intimidated by the content of email messages maybe you should stop reading mail. Quentin Fennessy
