I just recently saw cklaus () shadow net's post to bugtraq about some
'unbreakable' site and an open invitation to all *true* hackers to go
and crack/hack the crap out of it. Some of you said you tried to ping
it, and said no one could connect to it... Well in this letter below
they say the site will be up sometime after 11-th of October.. Anyway,
here's the letter I got....

Seems like they're confused about their own news releases. According
to their technical FAQ, they put sidwinder on the net and issued an
"open challenge" to all hackers, and no one got in. In this news
release, they claimed it wouldn't be on the net until after the 11th.

If you're mildly interested in this project--read the technical FAQ.
They list 42 bombs that are diffused by this system. Probably half are
repeats of previous information. Some examples:
16: The Remote Procedure Call Protocol is Fraught with Danger
17: The Remote Procedure Call is Fraught with Further Danger
(both "Defusing Mechanisms" are to not allow RPC at all)
4: ICMP Protocol is ... Easy to Spoof
  5: Redirect Messages are Dangerous
(A Redirect Message IS ICMP and is only dangerous if spoofed)

  Anyway, you get the idea...
